Hi, I’m glad you made it. This Daddy Does is written for parents through the lens of a stay-at-home dad. I’m really excited for us to get started. Children are a lot of fun but at times we all know that they can be challenging. I’d like to share with you some tips and tricks I’ve learned through the years that will hopefully help your family.

A little background on me. My parenting journey started twenty-five years ago when I was nineteen years old. I was a student and working full-time at that point. I had a ton of energy but very little information about how to raise a child. I could have used this blog back then ;-). My friends were going out, while I was home parenting and none of it felt very fair. Those early sacrifices taught me some valuable lessons and ultimately blossomed into a beautiful relationship with my son. It sure didn’t come easy though.
Fast forward to today, I’m in my mid-forties married with two young boys that are two and four years old. I am a full-time stay-at-home dad and I love it. I have a lot less energy these days but I’ve learned a lot about being a good father. Parenting is much easier this time around and I believe with a few tips, it can be easier for you too.
I learned that paying attention to the little moments, getting outside, and focusing on quality time is what has made all the difference. I also found that being present in those moments is essential. I’m writing this blog to share a little bit about what I’ve learned in my parenting journey. My hope is that this will help others be inspired and motivated to get outside and play with their kids.

This blog isn’t about telling you how to parent. But it will give you some tools that could help you and your child become closer. Parenting is a fluid situation that changes like the seasons. There are no hard and fast rules that will work with every child. Let’s come together as a community and share what we learn.
If you sign up today, you’re in for a treat. This blog series offers tips on how to spend time with your kids, camping, cooking, playing, and talking. It is definitely all about doing what we can to raise good humans. The future is coming and I hope you join me on this journey.
